Equipment

We like to keep things simple and know that all of our equipment is going to work well together so that is why we have sourced the majority of our equipment from Sony.

Cameras.

Our main cameras are the Sony HVR Z1E and Sony FX1 cameras. Because of their relatively small size and superb picture quality, these cameras are fast becoming the wedding industry standard.  The Z1E allows us to connect professional sound equipment so that we can ensure that those all important vows and speeches are recorded clearly. Always using two cameras means we are able to edit the shots from each camera to make your video more interesting and enjoyable to watch. Both cameras record in Full 1080 line high definition

All our cameras are well maintained and have never given us any cause for concern but as with any mechanical equipment there is always the possibility of failure. Having more than one camera means that we can still carry on working and capture your precious memories. However just in case the unthinkable occurs and either camera fails we also have a backup camera, a Sony HDR-HC7.  This also records in Full 1080 line high definition

Microphones

Sound quality is just as important as picture quality. Our main camera is therefore equipped with two professional microphones.

Firstly an ECM - 674 shotgun-type electret condenser microphone, which delivers excellent sound performance. This is used to capture the background sounds like the choir and congregation singing.

Secondly a UWP-C1 system. This is a compact, rugged wireless models from Sony allowing camera operators to acquire superb quality audio without the need for a dedicated boom operator or the intrusion of a wired microphone in shot. A small clip microphone is attached to the grooms jacket and the transmitter placed in his Jacket or trouser pocket. The receiver is attached to the Z1E camera.

In the unlikely event of either microphone failing one microphone can cover for the other.

Camera Lights

We never use camera lights during the church ceremony. We feel that this is far to intrusive and would detract from the solemnity of the occasion. During the evening reception we may use the small Pag C6 lighting system. This is a small 20 watt lamp with diffuser which helps improve picture quality particularly during the first dance.
